Sela Theme – Centralising Posts
-
Hello,
I’ve recently changed my blog theme to Sela, but having removed the sidebar, it has left a blank space. Ideally I’d like to centralise my posts/text, rather than have the blank space on the right hand side.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks :)

Hello!
Thanks so much for your speedy response. I’ll take a look into the links provided, as I assume that CSS might be the only way to achieve the desired look.
Ty again :)

Hi @adeleinglasses:
Is it only the category pages that you’re trying to remove the sidebar from? There isn’t a built in way to remove the sidebar from those pages but, as a workaround, you could publish a new page with the “Full Width” page template and add the Display Posts shortcode to it.
The Display Posts shortcode is used to “pull in” posts to a page and you can read a little more about it here:
The following version of the shortcode will pull in all posts that have been assigned to the “beauty” category:
[display-posts include_excerpt="true" category="beauty"]Let me know if you decide to give that workaround a shot and if questions come up! If the shortcode doesn’t work out for you, then CSS may be the better option.

Thanks so much for your v. clear response! I was thinking that there may have been a work around with the page template, but I wasn’t sure how to make it work with the front page. I’m still playing around with a few different designs and features today, so I’ll take a closer look and let you know if I have any further questions.
Thanks again, really appreciate it.
