SELA theme – changing the header font color

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I’m new to WordPress and have just set up my blog with some placeholders, and I’m sorry if this thread is in the wrong place, I’m not sure where it belongs.

My header image will most likely be dark, so I’d like to change the header font color to white/light grey, however I can’t see the option to customize it in the theme, so I assume I’d have to CSS it – my problem is that I can’t figure out where to click to access the theme customization? I should be able to figure it out on my own from there, but I can’t find any menu button that takes me to the theme’s code – is the option to customize not included in the free plan?

    Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue right now…so there is no what around this without upgrading to a premium account? that seems silly that you would have to either switch themes or from the header image you want just for the writing to look decent against the header. i dont feel like thats worth the minimum $60 to upgrade. there must be a nerd out there who knows a way around this!

  • nicolemoyal – your theme (Affinity) offers a variable opacity on the header image. If you find your white title hard to read, you can try adjusting the opacity in your Customizer‘s Theme Options > General panel, to darken it.

This is the best workaround I can give you for this theme, and I’m pretty nerdy myself. ;-)

Uhh, well, I had Sela when I made that post and couldnt change the color on the font header so it was a legible color against that image, so I just gave in and switched to affinity

thank you though, and yes your right this theme even though not my first choice, offers more options for customization at least ;)

  • nicolemoyal – Glad you’re satisfied with Affinity. Feel free to start a new thread if you need help with anything.
