Sela Theme – Content Not Centered
-
I redoing my website just switched to the Sela theme. I love how clean it is but I noticed the content does not center under the header title and navigation bar. It aligns to the left, even if I go into the html and try to center it. It is like that on all of the pages. It makes the site look off. Is there a way to center the page contents?

This is a design choice made by the theme author, if you add in some widgets to the right sidebar it balances out a little. There’s an example in the Sela theme demo page if you want to get an idea for how it would appear.
If you want to make changes you’d need to be on a paid plan which lets you adjust the CSS but it might be complicated depending on how the theme is set up.

Thanks for the response. I like the clean look so I don’t want to add widgets. What a strange choice for a designer. It makes it look like there’s an error in the alignment. Don’t want to spend the money to adjust the CSS, I’ll just find another theme.

Hi there. :)
It’s correct that some space is used for a right sidebar on the theme’s default page template.
There is, however, a full width page template that you can assign to remove the space that’s left for the sidebar on your page and to centre its content.
To change a page’s template, first navigate to the editor for that page and then choose from the Template dropdown menu in the Page Options tab:

Let me know if that helps out or if any extra questions come up.
