Sela theme fonts and dates
-
Hello, i have 2 questions.
1. what are the names of the fonts used in the sela theme? i want to create some title pages for youtube videos etc and need the consistency for the brand.2. on the sela demo page under blog https://selademo.wordpress.com/blog/ i shows the blog post in the center and the date in the left column. How do i create this layout? My dates are under the title and the writing fills the whole page. https://hauteculturefashion.wordpress.com/2015/02/07/motorbiking-in-ha-giang/
Thanks Donna

1.
For the text:
font-family (stack): “Source Sans Pro”,Arial,sans-serif
Font being rendered: “Source Sans Pro”For the headings:
font-family (stack): “Oswald”,sans-serif
Font being rendered: “Oswald”You can use a browser extension like FontFinder for Firefox to know the fonts and their styles.
2. Sorry, but I don’t see the difference in the between your blog and the Sela demo blog in terms of where the date if placed w.r.t to post title.

Hi, thanks, i downloaded what font and found out. The sela demo blog has the date of publishing in the left column, creating more white space on the blog page. https://selademo.wordpress.com/blog/ My blog uses the full width of the page, no left column, no extra white space, and the date of publishing can be seen under the title of the post.

Sela demo individual post page: https://cloudup.com/cEYUPE46obG
Your individual post page: https://cloudup.com/cRvM4_GAyTiSela blog page: https://cloudup.com/cl6RDec_QTp
Your blog page: https://cloudup.com/cEkZgoWAfxsI can’t really see any difference in the page formats between yours and Sela demo page.
I am sorry if I missed anything but could you please elaborate. Thank you.

@ donnawanderlust,

I have to agree with chaitanyamsv. I don’t find any difference w.r.t. where the date appears on your site vs. the demo. No difference in the area the page content fills either. HOWEVER, my monitor is relatively small, with a dated 4:3 aspect ratio (12″ X 9″, set at 1024 X 768 pixels), and this is an important factor in this case.
On the front page, or an archive page, of your site and the equivalent on the demo, if I zoom out two clicks (or more), the date appears all by itself in a wide margin at the left of the page content. It’s not hard to believe that you might see that result on one site, but not the other, depending upon your monitor dimensions and aspect ratio.
