Sela Theme HELP

I have no idea what I’m doing hah – I’ve read various forums and the Sela theme page but can’t seem to accomplish what I’m trying to do…I found a blog that shows perfectly what I’ve been trying to set up…

HOW DID AMY DO THIS?! Can anyone provide me a step by step rather than links to other pages – I’ve tried setting the grid theme on my page and creating other pages and making the original one the parent page and all of that but nothing seems to be working blurgh
any help is appreciated – gracias!

In the website you’ve chosen to model, the page titled “Blog” has been assigned to the grid page template. It’s also assigned as the static front page at Settings > Reading. The items which appear in rows of two below the title are the children of the grid page, so assigned at Page Attributes. The images in the grid items are featured images assigned to each child page. As a consequence of “Blog” being a grid page, both the scaled featured image and the title of each child page in the grid are links to the corresponding full child page.
