SELA theme -home page question

The SELA theme has a home page and the blog is listed second on their menu. How do I get the home ‘page’ to appear first instead of the blog when someone finds me on wordpress? Alternatively, if that is not possible – can I have a background similar to the SELA home page as a page background for my blog posts? Thank you for your assistance; much appreciated!

What I meant to say is that the DEMO for SELA shows the initial view of the ‘home’ page not the actual blog post. It mislead me a bit when the first thing you see is the “HOME” page. Can I have the same look for my blog?

I have found the front page attributes and added it to my SELA blog..Waht’s left to do is move this page to the number one slot. I used the page numbering 1,2,3, etc. IT will sort the pages in the respective order. However the blog is still first – on the top menu bar.

Yes, most definitely.
There are several factors involved in the result seen in the demo:
1. The front page is set to display a static front page. See the Front Page support page to learn how.
2. The static page assigned to the front page is assigned to the Front Page template.
3. A Custom Menu has been created, which allows for links to only those posts, pages, categories, etc. you chose to include links to in the menu, in any order you wish them to appear. -
