SELA-theme. How to set the date on the posts?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I have tried to look from so many places to change this but I am about to give up. My posts do not have any dates on them visible to the reader. How can I change this, or is there any way that the support team can do this for me instead?

    Thank you.

    BR,
    Annika

  • Hi there!

I’m seeing dates at the tops of your posts, it looks like you’ve enabled them under My Site > Customize > Content Options?

Did you still need help with this? :)

    Hi Chad,

Thank you so much for the very quick response. I somehow managed to set the date there in the posts, but another question came to mind as I could not solve it on my own since yesterday.

When I puplish a blog post, it obviously is under the blog-menu. But the posts are in a “open form”, if you know what I mean(?). I mean that when you enter to the Blog section, you can see in the page the complete blog-post, instead of a small summary with a picture I have selected. This goes beyond my knowledge to change this.

See an excellent example of what I mean: https://urbankulturblog.com/category/kulturcast/

Instead of my posts, that are just in a “open version”, and as a reader, it is quite frustrating to scroll all the way down, to get to the other post. eventually.

    Thank you in advance :)

  • You can select “Post Excerpt” under My Site > Customize > Content Options. That will display an Excerpt of your post, rather than the whole thing.

The More Tag is another option, that you can use on a per-post basis :)
