Sela Theme – Organize content throug menus / pages / articles

Hello,
(my theme is Sela)
I am a wordpress beginner.I have serveral types of content (articles and videos mostly).
Is that mandatory to have every content published on the home page ?I have a main menu, and i want to organise my content trgouh it. In that menu i have sub categories and when i click on the main menu element I have nothing I have to chose a category.
My whish is to have: Main menu – Home page – Videos (sub categories videos x and videos y )- Article (articles x articles Y) and and it want all content to show when i click on the main menu element.
ex: when i just click on videos to have all videos (from x and y).Thanks in advance,

Hello Pierre and welcome to WordPress. :)
It is not necessary to display your posts on the front page of your site. Instead you can set the static page titled “Home” that you have published.
To do this, navigate to the Static Front Page panel of the WordPress.com Customizer. You can find the full steps detailed, including a handy video walkthrough, here:
Your site’s menu can then be organised by navigating to My Site in the top left of WordPress.com and Menus in the left sidebar:

Select the pencil icon next to any menu item to edit it and choose the page/category you wish for it to link to.
