Select order of pages shown at blog header
-
Re; https://mortisemaster.wordpress.com/
My Timepiece theme will not allow me to place the pages in the order I select. They continue to be in random order, not in the order I added them or the order I specify in the page attributes (see attached). I have tried many times over several days to specify the page order with no results. Timepiece theme info says I should be able to select the page order in Page Attributes. Please help. Now I’m ready to attach the screenshots showing my issue but I see no attachment button or option.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are two approaches you can use. This first one is when you only have Pages.
1. Page Order – Page attributes module order numerically rather than alphabetically.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/2. This second approach is for those who have created a custom menu and have added pages and/or other items such as custom links and dynamic categories pages to that custom menu.
create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
add the pages and sub-pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-pages
order them http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-of-menu-items-and-creating-sub-menusIf you have a custom menu then you must establish consistency. Check the Pages sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required.
Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved

If you don’t see the Page attributes module on your page, please make sure you’ve selected to display Pages in your Screen Options.

I set up page order in Pages and it didn’t work. When I opened custom menu, the pages showed in the order I created them, though still not in that order on the blog site. However, that was apparently a default menu created by the theme, not by me, so when I typed in a name for the menu and pressed “save menu”, it fixed the problem.
So the trick is, SAVE THE MENU!!
Thanks for the quick reply and help.
