Selecta – Latest post slider will not work

    I am using Selecta – it looks great in the demo but I cannot get it to work on my own site as it shows in the demo.

    My front page now shows the latest posts at the top of the page – good. I made them all sticky, and I know that as I go along I need to ‘unstick them’. The problem is that, in spite, of having checked the option for the last post slider to show on the front page, it doesn’t. It did, once, briefly, but heaven knows why. I have looked at all the forums I could find, cruised Google and found that the images in my posts had to be featured images or they would not show. So I have made them all featured images. So what am I doing wrong? Is it just that I haven’t reached the magic number of 5 posts yet?

    I have tried checking and unchecking the boxes several times – to no effect. Also I note that the demo has a post at the bottom of the page as well. This also does not appear.

    Oh and I also saw that if the home page was static the latest post slider wouldn’t work – but this is not a static home page. I left it at the default setting and it does not show up in Pages, so assume this means it is not static.

    Help – I really want to stick with this theme, but eventually I might give up!

    I have the same problems, but I’m using WP.org in a free hosting server. The slider and the featured posts show nothing. I’ve contacted with Obox and sent them screenshots, but they say “they will inform their engineers”.

    Hi, @dandrabroad,

    You haven’t done anything wrong and your site seems working as expected.

    I see 4 published sticky posts in the slider as expected, also I see “latest posts row” (4 posts – Our Rome flat, Umbria – La Villa – getting there, Rome pictures updated, and Rome pictures) below the slider because you’ve checked the option.

    I’m not sure what you mean by this sentence. “… the demo has a post at the bottom of the page as well.” Could you tell me the title of the post you see on demo site?

    .org version of the theme is built differently by Obox and we only can provide support for .com version of the theme here.

    I’m using the Selecta theme and so far i haven’t been able to get it work correctly. Same problems:

    * Show sticky posts in a featured slider on the front page…

    * Latest Posts row on the front page…
