selecta theme: front page without side bar and maximum wide

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello, I would like to have a static page as a front page but I want it not to show the side bar and to have the maximum wide.
    I’ve tried to do it with the page format, but I cannot change the wide nor to remove the side bar so I used a featured post with image format instead.
    Of course with a post in the front page I cannot show the blog tab so it is not clear for visitors how to go to the posts.

    Can I use some CSS to fix this? Thank you

    Hi, the following will remove the sidebar on your home page and widen the content of that page to 100% of the container width.

    .home #sidebar {
        display: none;
    }
    .home #content {
        width: 980px;
    }

    The above specifically targets the home page and no others.

    Thank you very much!
    It works perfectly now.
