Selected Posts in Header on Karuna Theme

    Hi Everyone,

I am using the Karuna theme for my blog — and I want to hand pick 3 or 4 posts to show in a header underneath the primary header on my site, but none of the widgets seem to do exactly what I envision.

I want the featured image and title of the posts to show up, and I also want to be able to hand select the posts. Should this be done via some sort of custom grid of images or something?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Are you referring to a WordPress.com site? If so, then what is the site address (URL), and which theme is applied to it?

“and which theme is applied to it?”
Sorry, please ignore that part of the question.

Karuna offers neither a special layout or page template that includes a grid format for posts, nor special front page widget areas below the header, so it wouldn’t be ideal for what you’ve described.

The themes Gateway and Expound might be better options for what you envision for the front page. Sela has optional front page widget areas. See also Ixion.

  • Hi vsxc86,

It looks like you’re using Karuna to show the latest posts on your private site.
Did you already sort out the hand-picked posts by using the Image Widgets in the Full Width Header area?
