selecting my image

I have posted a blog just now with a few images, a big one each at the bottom and top and two smaller one sin the middle. Now when I share it on facebook, it is picking up the small simple pic in the middle and not the big one on the top.
Please tell me how I can select the pic I want to be displayed as the main pic on social media?

We have no control over the images that Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

I am having the same problem all of a sudden. When I try to post my short link to Facebook, instead of picking up one of my post images, it picks up images from my sidebar. But not only that, it will no longer post the page specific to that post with the appropriate headline. Instead, it is picking up my header. This is useless. And it just started happening. Any solutions? Again, it is not just a matter of the images; it is not posting my new blog post. Essentially, I won’t be able to used FB to promote my blog if this continues.
