selecting order in which contributors appear on the sidebar

  Is there a way to select the order that contributor’s names/photos appear on the sidebar? I have added approx. 25 contributors to our site and I want to put those who post the most articles at the top of the list, and vice versa. Does anyone know if this is possible?

  Looking at the Authors sidebar widget, there is no option to sort contributors by contribution. It sounds like a reasonable thing to request, though.
  Ways of sort of doing what you seem to want include:
  – DIY: replace your Authors widget with a Text widget in which you maintained the list of contributors, and could reorder the list as appropriate.
  – Use the Top Posts widget (as well as, probably above the Authors widget). That would give more prominence to your top contributors, or at least to their contributions.
  I fear that your question was better than my answer…

  Thanks Andrew! I’m going to look into the Top Posts suggestion. The text widget would work if there was a way to include the profile photos…

  There IS a way. Search the FAQs or the forum for images in the sidebar.
