Selecting Theme
-
Hello there,
Many thanks for that detailed explanation.
I can see that you’re wanting to generate demo content for your chosen theme, which saves time.
What is your site about exactly? Perhaps we can offer insights as to what theme might be useful.
Once chosen, you could look to empty your site and them import the theme demo content, and start work.
I hope this approach is useful.

Hello aleone89 , glad it is you again.
Ref back your earlier comment Jan 8th
Just to check, are you looking to change themes, and then see the theme content upon activation?
The reason why I ask is – after a site is set up on WordPress.com, and when you activate a theme you should see a prompt to populate the site with the theme demo content – are you seeing this prompt?
Yes, this is what I am referring to!
It is not a question of what theme is best etc, – in total i must have tried about a dozen – rather the process is backwards. I am getting the demo content saved to my draft, not my original content as as the popup states.
In truth, now I know this is what happens, it isn’t a problem. I can take the draft and work with it if I want to.
OK, now I may not be the brightest lamp in the shop, but I only found it by accident. Maybe others would have ta similar issue.Going right the way back to the start of this thread, it began when someone asked me what was happening when she could not change her site. So, in the world of around 8 billion, there are at least 2 of us that are not so bright!
