  How do I let a selected few people, say, my family, only read what I post? I don’t really want to force them to open up an account to do so.

  hey highway man, you have a couple options:

  make the blog completely private & add authorized users,

  make the blog public, but certain posts private & password protect them,

  as far as privacy without having your family/friends register, im not sure if you can do that.
