selector for comment threads?
-
Hi all,
I’m using the sandbox-10-theme, and since wordpress has recently introduced comment threading, I’ve been wondering how to influence the comment thread’s appearance. Is anyone willing to share the secret selector?
thx in advance _ willyam

you would add the following selectors, I’ve changed the background colors so you can see the difference between the different comments. To change the comments that reply to the orignial comment then just add “ul li” to the comment selector and to change the comment that replies to that comment add two such as “ul li ul li”. I think this sounds confusing so I’ll just post what you would add to your CSS
.comments .commentlist .comment ul li { font-size:1em; margin-bottom:20px; background:red; border:1px dotted #dee4da; padding:10px; } .comments .commentlist .comment ul li ul li{ font-size:1em; margin-bottom:20px; background:blue; border:1px dotted #dee4da; padding:10px; } -
@Iorawow: I’m sory not to have been more precise, so I’m all the more grateful that aw1923 was able to decipher my question. So, @aw1923: THX SO MUCH!!!! I’ve inserted your CSS, tried out a couple of color variations, and it just works perfectly. See for yourself, if you like ;-)
thx again _ willyam

It’s fine, glad you’ve received an answer that made sense.
Bumping your topic didn’t hurt it seems. :) -
Yeah, I like it the colors work well together. Yeah, I forget sometimes about these topics that go days without being answered, so much thanks to lorawow for bumping up dozens a lot of unanswered topics yesterday night lol
