  I currently have WordPress.com but have been advised to switch to WordPress.org through a self hosted domain. Do I have to create a entirely new site? Also, what’s the difference between the two? Thanks!

  There’s numerous differences between what we do here at WordPress.com and having a self hosted WordPress site. This guide explains those differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Using the installation of WordPress will be more hands on and there can be a larger learning curve involved.
