Self-Hosted Blog Issues
-
Hi,
I have just set up my own self-hosted blog (roshnimistry.com) with Hostpresto and imported my http://www.roshnimistry.wordpress.com blog info into it, and I have encountered a couple of problems:
1) None of the likes on my posts are appearing on my self hosted. I have even tried mapping the domain using the wordpress domain mapping tool but that has done nothing more than act as a redirect to the new site.
I know of other bloggers that have gone self-hosted from wordpress and retained all of their likes, so can you help me to do this?2) My followers count has gone wrong. It now says I have just 4 when I previously had around 90.
I have installed the Jetpack plugin and have contacted them for assistance with migrating stats and followers, so I understand that the second point may be resolved by them, however I would really appreciate your help with both points so that I can get my blog fully functional asap.
Thanks,
RoshniThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) I’m not sure it’s possible, but it’s definitely not possible unless you have the Jetpack plugin installed AND configured to show likes.
2) if people were just following you in the Reader, you moved off WP.com and they won’t see your blog anymore.

Ah ok, I have Jetpack plug in installed and the likes are enabled! But it hasn’t pulled in the likes that I have already got on my posts.
I migrated my followers using Jetpack but I’m getting confusing notifications to say new followers but they were already following in the first place…

No, your blog is new, therefore these are the first followers it’s ever had. Therefore they are New.
