Self hosted privacy settings

    I want to create a wordpress site that’s private

    When I search the support on wordpress.com {https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/#site-visibility-options) those settings are either no longer part of the current version or not available on self hosted sites

    Is there a way to make my site private to approved visitors?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
