Self hosted site

    I’m trying to decide whether to upgrade my blog from wordpress to self-hosted. I’m pretty confused. This means my address would change from xxx.wordpress.com to just xxx.com, right?
    And I worried that I will lose all my subscribers and content in the process. Or does it automatically carry over?
    Thanks in advance for any advice you might have :)

    Hi,
    You can change your blog address as you indicated (dropping the .wordpress) and still stay at WordPress.com if you wish. Refer to this support page for information: https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

    If you’d prefer to go with self-hosted, then you would transfer your content and a WordPress.com staff member would assist with moving followers and email subscribers as well as merging stats. Here’s the guide for that: https://move.wordpress.com/
