Self-hosted Site is not allowing HTTPS access to WordPress 4.x Posts

  OK …

  I originally posted a similiar post to the iOS WordPress app forums. So, I am trying it again here with the proper context.

  The http protocol works just fine. https for admin related tasks works just fine. However, if users decide to context to my self-hosted site using https as opposed to http they will receive a page not found error.

  To help me debug this problem I created a directory and a simple index.html file in the same hierarchy as the blog. I was able to get to the index.html using both http and https.

  I personally think this is a bug introduced in 4.x. However, I am more than willing to entertain other ideas.
