Self-hosted site problems

Today I paid to have my site upgraded to a self hosted website. However, after going through the process and coming back to my dashboard it appears as if nothing has changed. I’ve watched a couple tutorials on this process and in the videos people who have used Bluehost (as I have) now have a “plugins” and “marketplace” tab on the left hand side of the dashboard. My dashboard doesn’t have these, just as I didn’t have these before. How can I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Until you change your name servers to the proper ones to point to BlueHost, nothing much will change

Sorry, but I have no idea what that means. What exactly do I need to do? Why was my credit card charged for a service that has not been provided when I followed the wordpress guide exactly as I was told?

turtleboysports.com is not self hosted: it is not hosted on Bluehost!

You purchased domain mapping and your site is still hosted for free here on WordPress.com. Domain mapping is like a street sign pointing to your site: Turtle Boy Sports is over here!! ——>>>(whatever your underlying address hosted by wp.COM is). Or think of it as a pseudonym so for example, your real name is turtlesports.wordpress.com, but people find you with the domain mapping nickname turtleboysports.com.

With a nickname, folks can call you “Tommy” while your real legal name is actually “Thomas.”

Here is information about domain mapping:

    specifically this section—http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

With the custom domain, your blog will still be hosted on WordPress.com, and will still be required to abide by our Terms of Service. Uploading custom themes or plugins is not supported on WordPress.com, as are certain HTML codes and scripts. FTP access to your files is not available.

Here are details about the differences between free wp.com and paid hosting with wp.org:

If you need to have a self-hosted site, and you purchased the domain mapping today, then you can request a refund.

If you wait for more than 48 hours you many need staff help to keep your domain name while you hire Bluehost to host your site.

I don’t think you understand. I am well aware that I purchased the domain mapping….on December 16, 2013. However, I am trying to switch my blog to wordpress.org, so I can put advertisements on it. Today I purchased a self-hosted site from Bluehost, following the instructions in the tutorial. You guys do not have a phone number to call for customer service, so the best I can do is follow written directions. That’s exactly what I did. I was told that my files from turtleboysports.com would transfer over to the bluehost site, so I paid $122 and now I have nothing to show for it. Please, please just show me how to transfer all of my files from wordpress.com over to bluehost. I have been working on this for several days now despite being told how easy and quick it would be.
