  Hi! I want to move my self hosted site to WP.com but I don’t wish to pay for a plan. Is it possible to set up a site without using a domain I already own and simply import my self hosted site content? I don’t really blog much but don’t want to pull the plug on my content all together. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  You can use free plan and import all your site content, but WordPress free plan comes with a free subdomain ending with WordPress.com, you can’t use a custom domain with a free plan, which means your current ranking will be affected.

  I will recommend you go for any paid plan to use your current Domain name.
