Self hosted videos – Videos different issues on different browsers

    I am constructing a website with self-hosted videos, and I noticed an issue with the WordPress default video player.

    While everything was working great in my localhost and after uploaded to the server, the website was working great.

    I am done with uploading work and now headed to SEO work. While final testing I found some issue with my videos.

    Firefox – In Firefox browser videos are loading smoothly you can play/pause and can forward by using keyboard shortcuts (Shift+> arrow key). But while I use click to skip the video to forward or rewind, it doesn’t respond to action, meanwhile, it moves forward or does rewind but not at the same point where I clicked.

    Google Chrome – Most of my users are from the Chrome browser, so it’s essential to work on this browser. But the circumstances of the videos are different in chrome. Whenever I tried to forward or rewind my video it starts from the beginning. This way it destroys the user-experience, nobody wants this, when you even can’t forward or rewind the video. it works as TV ads.

    Safari (iPhone) – After this, I tried it on my iPhone and find that video giving an error ‘Media Error: format not supported or source not found’. This is only occurring with iPhones, in android phones, video is working, but same as google chrome, you can’t skip to the middle of the video ( can’t forward or rewind it).

    Opera Browser – I installed opera browser and find that the video is working fine but in ‘Live Broadcasting’ mode. you even can’t do anything like in google chrome.

    Note – Last Night videos are working on my iPhone and Android, and there is no issue like I told above with any browser. you can simply play/pause or forward/rewind the video. I am not using any plugin for videos, I tried all general methods like disable all plugins and changing to a new theme. Nothing worked.

    If anyone faced this issue and know how to resolve this please write it down. it will be a great help. If you have any suggestions on it, am ready to do changes on it.

    I am struggling in finding the exact reason, If anybody has any hints please write your thoughts.

    Please help me out guys it’s very irritating.
