Self hosted widget plugin equivalents to wordpress.com

  I’m moving from wordpress.com to a self hosted blog. I’m trying to replicate the widgets and plugins on wordpress.com and can’t find the equivalent plugins to install on my self-hosted site.

  What is the EXACT name of the plugin containing these widgets on wordpress.com?

  1) “RSS Links”

  2) “Blog Subscriptions”

  Unfortunately, there’s no exact equivalent to either.

  1. You could set these up yourself with the built-in Links widget (and create a Links category for just RSS links), or you could use something like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-to-any-subscribe/

  2. The closest to that would definitely be http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe2/

  For RSS links, you can also code them up yourself in a text widget.

  On my self-hosted blog, I use Feedburner’s email subscription service and have been very satisfied with it.
