    Hi!

I’m running a selfhosted blog using wordpress (came from seredipity).
Is there a way to be a part of wordpress.com?
What I mean is the ability to be seen on wordpress.com.
I really love this network an the community…!

    Regards

Not if you aren’t hosted here. You can move your blog here easily enough and use the domain mapping upgrade to continue using your URL.

    Ok, thanx!

So I guess the “like it” – button (not facebook!) is also only available inside worpress.com…?

That’s right, although there are any number of plugins at WP.org to do this. Believe me, you’re better off having the FB like.

Was looking for a “like it” – button (not facebook),
    at least I wanna try…!
Couldn’t find one, maybe you’re having a link for me…?

Yeah. I do consulting for WordPress.org at $200 an hour, so what’s your budget? You already got my best advice for free.

  • Unknown's avatar

So, if your best advice was for free, why you are charging for one which can’t be the best anymore…?
    Just kiddin…!

I don’t want to bother you, I just thought you may help me out…
    Doesn’t matter!

I charge more for people who bother me after I’ve answered the question. Use the FB like. Trust me. Either trust me or pay me my usual $200 per hour. Some companies find paying me helps them trust me. As for me, I positively enjoy charging people $200 an hour for what I would have told them for free, followed by several hours of “no, really, I’m telling you the truth but if you want an inferior choice, here it is.”

This is the secret of the consultant business model.
