Self Hosting & Bitnami installation

  I have tried to install self hosting on my Windows 7 pc and I followed Mor10’s very clear tutorials. However, unlike Mor10, during installation I was asked for a Port no. I tried to accept the default one of 80 but it wouldnt so I clicked 1 – and it was accepted but I think that has not worked as I cannot get the first page upon installation that is in the tutorial Welcome Bitnami Access Word Press Stack. Can anyone help me! I am not very technical! :-(

  Also there were questions about Apacheports?? help required!

  I’m afraid you need to be at WordPress.ORG instead. We can’t help with independent installs here.

  So should I uninstall bitnami and go to wordpress and install from there? Is that what you mean?

  Don’t uninstall anything

  The site you are asking about is not hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
