Self-Hosting but Confused (and regretful)

  • Unknown's avatar

Left Bluehost/Wordpress.com as my host and now I regret it. I can’t get into my Blog and I know nothing about the technical aspects of my blog so I would like to return to WordPress, I need guidance on how to cancel my self hosting and come back to WordPress. I also need to get into my blog. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If your blog is at Bluehost, we can’t help you with getting access to that. If you want a blog here, just go to Manage My Blogs, hit the big button to get a new blog, and away you go.

    A couple of useful links:

Again I am not tech savvy. My domain was with bluehost but I have transferred it. Since doing so I can’t get into my WORDPRESS blog. I could get into this portion (clearly cause I am messaging you) but everytime I try to get to the wp-admin site it says this ERROR: The password you entered for the username (email visible only to moderators and staff) is incorrect. Lost your password? I have NOT lost my password. And when I say YES and create a new one, this message still pops up. So is this a bluehost issue, a WordPress issue or my new domains issue? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help. I really need to get into my blog. Thanks.

    *I meant wp-login.

So I just tried to get into it again..and it said Please enter your username or email address. You will receive a link to create a new password via email.

ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address. But I am in the WordPress site with this username and with this password. So confused.

http://mybellamoxie.com/ is live and online. But it is not a WordPress.COM blog.

Please take a minute for a little bit of techy info: there are different kinds of WordPress (mainly):
    WordPress.COM
    WordPress.ORG

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
    http://wordpress.org/support/

The two platforms are different and we here on wp.com cannot help with wp.org issues. You’d have a different username and password for each of the formats. The logins are different for each.
