Self hosting Domain

    I would like to map my self hosted domain, but somehow there’s $96 i need to pay. I thought this should be free since i am self hosting?

    You don’t need to pay WordPress.com (here) anything but I presume afrihost will charge you to host your domain along with the free wordpress software there.
