Self Hosting Website

    I am interested in making my website self hosted. I was wondering what the precise steps for that would be, and how it would impact my wordpress account. Will it take away my reader and ability to still blog in wordpress? My primary reason for wanting to do this is advertising, so I was wondering what perimeters surrounded making such a change? Any and all information will be greatly helpful and appreciated.

    Will it take away my reader and ability to still blog in wordpress?

    Can you explain a bit further what you are asking with this question. Are you asking if your self-hosted site’s content will appear in the same places that WordPress.com site content appears? (the answer is no) Or are you asking if your followers from WordPress.com will still be able to follow you in their Reader once you make the move? (yes, I can help transfer them for you). Or are you asking something else that I am just misunderstanding?
