Selling my products on my WP blog – Can I use PayPal "Buy It Now" button?

I would like to sell products I have made and created myself. The primary reason for my blog will be for tutorials for other artists, selling is secondary.
I found one question in the forum that helped a little:

Someone said they got it to work, but in six and a half years I’ve literally never seen that work on a WordPress.com blog. I use the Donation button myself.

I asked about TOS violation on a blog re the paypal button they were using, and Ryan M. sent an email to me:
The use of a PayPal button that’s not a Donate button isn’t actually a violation of the WordPress.com ToS.
As long as the button is a plain HTML button it will work.
I don’t know much about paypal, but have used both paypal donate and a paypal button for pre-payment for some workshops (not on a wordpress.com site). Never used a shopping cart. And sorry I can’t remember if the buttons I used were plain html or not, or if there was such an option which might work on wp.com??

What do you mean by “work on a WordPress.com blog”?
I did an experiment and I can add a functional “Buy it Now” button to my blog. I want to know if you mean it will not work because it is a violation of the WordPress ToSThanks for the help.
