Do you make the items you want to sell yourself? I’m asking because NO reselling anything made by anyone else is allowed on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce transactions with shopping carts and no blogger initiated advertising or paid or sponsored content is allowed. The only things you can sell on WP.com blogs are products that you, yourself create and/or services that you personally provide. For an on the blog online store with a shopping cart you need an independently hosted blog using WordPress.ORG software.
http://wordpress.orgFor selling your own creations on a free hosted WordPress.com blog see http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/If and only if you are marketing only what you create and have a online shop with a shopping cart somewhere else online you can create a custom menu and add a custom link to it.

I’m sorry I asked the question that was already answered in your thread title. I need more coffee. :(

As a recovering affiliate blogger, I suggest linking product by product. Link both the image of the product and the text to the product page on Shopify. If you only ever link to the main Store page, you’ll never sell anything.

Thank you both.

There is a cart on my shopify page. Do i need to create another one?. Do i need to care about this whole paypal thing and cart, since it s already set on shopify?

Thanx for the advise, i think so too. But how do i add them? basically, how do I link a shopify item URL to my WP.com page?
Oh and Timethief, since i will be seting an online store, i won’t have to worry about having a .com instead of a .org, right? still should i consider to switch to .org since i’m more into having a website than a blog? (because i do want to simplify my URL by getting rid of the ”wordpress.com” at the end of it.)
I know I’m asking a lot of questions! ;) -

I think what TimeThief mentioned about using the Custom Menu is a good idea. Use your WordPress.com to promote / blog etc about your products, then have a simple STORE link in your navigation for people to go to the Shopify site.
And I’d have additional links from a product on your WordPress.com site post when you are talking about a new / featured item, and link that to the same item in Shopify.
Would that work?

Presumably each item has a page on Shopify. Get the URL and just make a straight up normal link to the item page. Same with the image. Put the image in and link it to the sale page.
You cannot use shopping cart embeds here at all.

From my reading of a few support articles, it’s probably important to add that you can only use links that link directly to the product – with not affiliate link or reference to you at all.
So it’s OK to talk about (say) dropbox.com, how great it is, and put a link into the main site. But you can’t use your referral link to gain credit from that link.
99% sure that’s right.

But not entirely. Please see this recent Staff reply: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/amazon-and-other-affiliate-links?replies=5#post-1538947
