Not is issue selling items you PERSONALLY make. Payment methods are limited to I think PayPal Donate Button, others are a bit better on the get money part of things than I

On that subject, I have a rather mixed question. Can you sell items that are only partially made by you. For instance a collage made entirely from antique postcards and personalized and framed. Or a shadow box of small antiques that is personalized like a scrapbooking project. I haven’t actually started this, but can you sell something that is art you made, but incorporates things that are like that? And also, is something like food considered made by you if you make it yourself?

OOPS, forgot one. And do you need to upgrade from a free account to do any and all of that? Selling, I mean.

Hi downsemb
The answer is yes.Hi jewelant,
Yes what you describe is a new product created by yourself. You can sell only products you personally create or services that you personally provide. Only Blogs with the Business Bundle upgrade can equip their blogs for ecommerce.

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ecommerce-is-now-available-on-wordpresscom?replies=1If you do not have that upgrade you can post a PayPal button http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
If you have a shopping cart set up for your own products or services elsewhere online you can create a custom menu and include a custom link to it in the menu.

Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/ closely.

THANK YOU! Now I know which of my ends are up before starting the project. I have a ton of postcards that are antique, and a bunch of frames. Now all I have to do is create something. Possibly I’ll make enough money to be able to afford an upgrade. You really helped.
