Send a message button

  Hi. I’ve just set up a site for the first time and I found your product easy to use (thanks!) but the only thing I haven’t been able to work out so far is how to modify the ‘send a message’ button on my contacts page so that people can actually send me a message. I’ve tested it out myself a couple of times but cannot see where the message is sent to. Can I divert messages to email or are they meant to appear on my admin page?

  Thanks for the response.
  The site is markeklid.com and it is hosted by SiteGround. The theme I used is Astra and I’ve downloaded Elementor as the editing tool. I reached this stage by listening to two sources of “how to” advice, which might make it sound a little muddled but I am pretty happy with the end product.
  The snag I hit was that one of the online guides pointed me towards a Contacts tab on the dashboard and mine doesn’t have one. I’m fairly sure if it did I might be able to complete the process.
  Sorry if this is too much info but I’m new to this game and I don’t really know what’s relevant and what isn’t!

  OK, yeah it sounds like that might be something that should have been included with your theme or plugin.

  If you were using our service, you’d add a contact form in a totally different way. But you’re using SiteGround, and some outside plugins.

  For this, can you try contacting support for the theme/plugin (whoever gave those instructions — see how our instructions are very different?). Or just ensure you’ve got all of the needed plugins and that they are working?
