Send an email with a link to subscription.

  Ciao!

  I want to send out a mass email to friends and family announcing the blog. Within that email I would like to place a link where they can automatically subscribe, or take them to a page where they can subscribe to my blog. How do I do this?

  You can do this IF you mean an RSS subscription. Just send the link http://unbreakabletwo.wordpress.com/feed

  You can’t do this if you mean an email subscription; you can’t put the link directly in the email that is. You can just give them a link to your blog and make sure you have the email subscription widget in your sidebar.

  oh that is very sad to know. I was also hoping to send emails with link to subscribe. I wanted to suggest admirers of my blog (very few in number though!) to subscribe by giving them a link through email. Hope something will be done for this, by you people in future.

  Yes. That is a shame. I did mean an email link. I wonder why wordpress wouldn’t want this?

  WordPress makes money when people view your blog. They don’t make any money when people view your emails. Just my theory.
