Send form only with valid code / ticket
-
Hello there…
Is there any plugin which allow me to generate codes which must be used to send contact form?
Like I generate 3 codes:
1abc
d2ef
ghi3And you can contact me via form only when you write down one of them.
I don’t even know how should I search for this…

Hi there,
It sounds like you are referring to some kind of test to prove you are a human? We do not offer this on WordPress.com (we use built in spam filtering on our contact forms instead) but you may wish to find a CAPTCHA plugin, which is the think that generates a random code that is difficult for machines to read, but human visitors can type in. I was able to find several solutions by searching Google here.
Note: To use plugins on WordPress.com Managed Hosting you will need to upgrade to our Business or eCommerce plans. More info here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I need something different. Captcha is just a protection. I need something else.
For example:
You go to contact page, you fill everything in. But the code? What is the code? You just can’t send it without code.I give you one of the codes I generated.
You can do it now…
So I generate codes and I give it to people. So I know which code was used. And nobody will spam me with tries of the correct code.

Hello,
I’m not sure if there’s a form-specific plugin that you can use for this, but I can think of a workaround that might be of interest.
The workaround involves creating a password protected contact page and giving your preferred users the password that will allow them into the page.
Here’s a reference on changing your post and page visibility: https://wordpress.com/support/post-and-page-visibility/
Normally, you can only use a single password to protect a WordPress page, but if you are looking to generate multiple codes, I found a guide from an external plugin that has the functionality to generate and track multiple passwords for password protected pages.
Here’s the link to that guide: https://passwordprotectwp.com/protect-wp-pages-multiple-passwords/
I hope this helps!

@encoresin, if you’re looking to generate codes and give them to a limited group of people, I like @thomasjvu’s recommendation. You could even give those codes periodically, then set your email to automatically delete an email with this subject unless it has this code in it, for example.
But if these codes are going to show on the contact form itself, you would need an outside plugin. And honestly, while I’m all over our upgraded plans and would highly recommend them if you need to install other plugins, I personally would not upgrade for this. We use Jetpack Anti-Spam here (aka Akismet) and it works great, no codes needed.

Thanks for your answers. Multiple passwords should be an option. I will try it.
Otherwise I will create all separate forms for my different purposes with own password to it.
Thank you one more time!
