Sending blogs from satellite phones

    Hi
    Can anyone give me any information about how to submit a blog from a satellite phone by email (I want to do this whilst sailing Atlantic and Pacific) or do you have to send to a contact you’ve added as a contributor and get them to post it?

    Also is it possible for friends to search for your blog on google – I can’t seem to make that work. I’m not interested in getting lots of unknown people reading it although I don’t really mind if they do, but want to send it to family and friends.

    Yes, currently you’re blog isn’t being displayed on Google search results. This is out of the control of WordPress.com, and it can take some time for Google to index your site, but the WordPress.com team have published some links that contain useful tips to boost your SEO (meaning that your blog will be indexed quicker/better): https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo/

    I don’t really mind if they do, but want to send it to family and friends.

    The best way to send it to family and friends at this point is just to give them the URL of your blog, http://footnotesfromwatermusic.wordpress.com/, which they can type into their browser. It’s not the most convenient way, but it’s probably the most effective way until your blog is indexed by Google.
