Sending comments from my iPad

Sometimes, though not always, WordPress won’t let me send my comment on someone else’s post from my iPad, can you suggest what I should do please.

- Are you receiving an error when you attempt to submit a comment?
- Are you submitting comments from a browser or the WordPress app?
- If browser, which one are you using?
- Also, what iOS version are you currently on?

Both the replies I sent you from my iPad and my desktop were returned to me saying
550: 5.1.1 <(email visible only to moderators and staff)>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table
What can I do now if I can’t email you?Susan Hutton

The noreply address definitely won’t work, you can’t reply to things on the forums via email.
Would you please use https://snipboard.io/ to provide some screenshots of two or three of the emails you’re trying to reply to?

I am not sure where to find my iOS version, I am 86 years old, are these numbers anything to do with it 13.5.1 or (17F80) I have an iPad 7 bought last week.

Thanks @susanpoozan, could you tell us what error you get when you try sending in a comment?
Also, what site are you trying to comment on?

I get a message saying ‘this comment can not be sent’
This is the url for the site I am trying to comment on http://wp.me/p4JF4J-9gl
However the last time I tried Word Press asked me to sign in and then the comment did go. All very mysterious to me!

Thanks for hanging in there while we get this figured out. I do suspect that it is an issue with your browser. Are you always using the same internet browser? Safari is the default browser on iPads, but you could’ve added something like Chrome. Let us know.
If you haven’t already, go ahead and shut down the device to restart it. Let’s see if that makes any difference.

I am using Safari, nothing else. I will try shutting down my iPad and having a second go and will let you know how I get on. I don’t have any problems posting comments from my desk top using Google Chrome but am not keep to change browser on my iPad.

Can you please let me know the exact error message you’re receiving when you try to leave a comment?

How intermittent is the issue? I just tried to comment on my test site on the new iPad and had no issues. How often would you say this issue arises? And is it one of those things where if you try enough the comment eventually posts?
Also, although I know you want to stick with Safari, if you have another browser on your iPad and can test comments using that browser, that would help us isolate the issue and whether it is a browser issue or something else. Thanks!
