Sending mails when a new post is published

    How can I ensure that whenever I publish a new post (I do not mean editing) an automatic mailer is sent to some chosen mail ids (close friends)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    You will have to get your friends to sign up to follow your blog via their emails.

    You can invite them to follow your blog from Users -> Invite New on your dashboard. Enter their email addresses and invite them as followers. They’ll have to accept the invitations by clicking on the link in the email before they’ll receive email updates.
