Hallo, I inserted the google webmaster ‘line’, but when looking on G-webmaster it says no pages has been indexed yet? Also, when I check online for pagerank it gives no result or says it can not be displayed.
Seems strange to me; wordpress.com should be seo optimized, right? Traffic for those websites is less then before, when i hosted websites myself. Any help is welcome. Otherwise it seems to me it’s better to leave wordpress.com. Strange also; no emailadres or whatsoever is given to contact WordPress although the paid version is included with mailsupport? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
How long ago did you submit your site? From experience, it can take some time for Google to index a new site – sometimes up to a few weeks.
-
Thanks for your quick reply! I think for about a year now. Several months (7+) at least.
-
It can occasionally take months to index a site too, but that’s a fairly long time.
I’m going to flag this for staff attention, since I’m not sure what the next step might be. Hope you can get it resolved soon!

The value you enter needs to be a line of HTML code, like this:
The value you entered is not valid. Please try following the instructions here:
SEO is great on WordPress.com without your having to do anything special other than post. The longer your blog exists, the more you post, and the more people who visit it, the higher it should climb in Google’s rankings.
We have some additional tips on traffic building here:
I also recommend getting involved over at http://dailypost.wordpress.com/ — it’s a staff-written blog with writing and photography challenges, lots of blogging advice, and an active community of WordPress.com users that support each other and read each other’s work.
If you are still having a problem, let me know, and we can take the next troubleshooting step, once I get more feedback.

@pmciano, That is exactly the line of code I’ve entered in WordPress. It extracts some ‘meta key’ bij itself after saving. It appears to be correct after all.
>> found out that I had to add stadopeenberg.nl @ Google webmasters, apart from http://www.stadopeenberg.nl Now it works!
Apart from that shouldn’t be there result in an online pagerank checker? and search results?

@timethief: Seems logical :-)
But after being online quite a time (a year?) this should be done. It’s not related to google webmaster, am I right? So, why it still isn’t indexed/pageranked yet? People who blog and doesn’t use google webmaster must also be ‘search engine optimized’?
-
I just use Google and found that your blog content is being indexed
site:stadopeenberg.nl
I will leave it to pmciano to answer your other questions. -
I’m glad you were able to get your site verified.
As @timethief stated, your site and its content appear in several, major search engines:
Also, when I do a search for your site’s title, Stad op een berg, your site appears on the first page of results:
Regardless of whether or not you use Google’s Webmaster Tools, you will not need to worry about SEO with a WordPress.com site.
If I’ve misunderstood the issue, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.
