SEO for Free WordPress Sites

  Hi to the wonderful users / staffs of WordPress.

  Is it possible to do some form of SEO for a free WordPress site? I’m trying to get my free WordPress site to rank higher on Google SERP for a certain keyword.

  I also tried site://https://wiashik.wordpress.com, to see only 4 results. Does this mean that only 4 pages from my website are indexed by Google? If so, is it possible to choose which 4 pages to be indexed?

  Hi there

  Most SEO functionalities are taken care of by WordPress.com in the background hence you cannot and don’t have to choose what pages get to be indexed. What keywords are you searching for when you get the four pages you mention?

  I also see yours is a website with very few blog posts, blogging is a very powerful tool to gain visibility and get your site indexed which eventually means it will rank higher on the SERPs. Howevre there is no quick fix for this.

  Just remember, to

  1. post regularly I see your website has very few posts, you need to write even more
  2. write original and relevant content
  3. optimize your images
  4. utilize internal and external links

  The more activity there is on your website the better chance it has of being indexed.
