SEO for mainpage

  Hey all
  Just started a site/blog, on my posts i can play with the seo in yoast, but i don’t have that option to do anything on the main page. is that because of the theme i’m using?

  Is yearnmirrors.com the site you’re working on?

  If so, that site is hosted through a third-party company while this forum is intended for folk who have their sites hosted here at WordPress.com.

  The fact that your site is running on the free software available over at WordPress.org may have led you here.

  The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview.

  As your site is hosted elsewhere, staff here at WordPress.com aren’t in the best position to help with further questions. Instead, I recommend contacting Yoast’s team directly or reading through the support documentation they’re provided via their plugin page on WordPress.org:

  You may also wish to contact theme’s author directly via the WordPress.org forum.

  My bad, i must admit it is rather confusing with all the different wordpress sites! i thought they were both the same
