  I am using the K2 theme (unsure if that matters) but I am unable to figure out how to add SEO to my posts.

  How do I add SEO to my blog posts?

  WordPress.com is very good with SEO by itself without you doing anything. It can help though if you add relevant tags and categories.

  SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it’s aimed at building a reader and search engine friendly site and contents.

  By making structural changes to the site and the content in it the site will rank higher in search engine results. That positioning means the site will be well positioned to get visited by targeted readers, who have been using a search engine to find material of interest to them.

  Using accurate keywords in Headlines (Titles and Sub-titles), and using relevant tags on your posts, and giving your images the full treatment (TITLE tag, ALT tag Description) are SEO techniques.
