SEO options

    Hi,

I am currently doing research on which CMS tool to use for building my own website.

I hope someone can help me answering the following questions:
When choosing the personal package of 5 Euros per month, it is stated on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ that

    1. the SEO Tools are not included. Does this refer to the placing of Meta Titles and Description?

    2. Google Analytics Integration is not possible. Does this mean the placement of GA code is not possible in the basic package?

    3. Is it possible to add specific Google Adwords Code in the basic package too?

    Thanks in advance :) Cheers!

WordPress.com is designed to be a user-friendly one-stop option and customizing and adding code is only really available with the top Business and eCommerce plans. The Personal plan (paid for annually, not monthly) doesn’t give you that flexibility, although all WordPress.com plans, even the free one, already offer very good SEO.

If you really want to “build your own website” rather than have an easy to use WordPress.com one then you may want to consider installing the WordPress.org software at a host elsewhere.

    Thanks for the quick response.

Thus, SEO meta tags cannot be defined yourself in the personal version. That’s clear now, thanks :)

Adding simple tracking codes for google analytics or adwords can’t be placed on the “personal” version then, is that correct?

    Thanks in advance

That’s correct. Both options are only available in the Business or Ecommerce plans. You can see a quick comparison of plan features on this page https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Let us know if you have any other questions about this.
