    My websites are in Google Sites and it is quite difficult to improve the SEO, literally… I have looking for solution and I am wondering whether WordPress Business with Yoast plug-in would be beneficial for me. Many thanks

    Hi there,

    SEO is great on WordPress.com without your having to do anything special other than post to your blog regularly. The longer your blog exists, the more you post, and the more people who visit it, the higher it should climb in Google’s rankings.

    However, if you do not have an active blog on your site (which is a huge help for SEO) then yes it can be quite a struggle, especially if there is a lot of competition for ranking in your industry. It can help to upgrade to the Business Plan and the Yoast plugin, which will allow you to do higher-level optimization. For example it would allow you to make use of keyword research and scanning your content to make sure it has proper keyword density

    Firstly, I’d like to create a brand website by using new premium business template and add all the info we have already on our sites. Also, before I move the domain I’d like to make sure the SEO is better than now and then migrate.

    If you could advise me on that it’d be great.

    What is the URL of your existing site? You use the WordPress software for that site too? Or is it using a different platform?

    Also, before I move the domain I’d like to make sure the SEO is better than now and then migrate.

    As mentioned previously our platform SEO is great out-of-the-box and our sites are optimized so they can be easily scanned and ranked by their site crawlers. That said, the content of your blog (the text and images you add to it) would also need to be optimized for the best results, and that is something we are not able to help with.

    For this reason I recommend the SEO course above, which will walk you through the process of how you (as a site owner) can also optimize your site by the words you write, the frequency with which you publish, etc. My one strong recommendation is that you consider adding a blog to your site. If you do just one thing, steady and consistent blogging will drive more traffic to your site than any combination of tricks and settings will do.
