Separate blog feeds

    I’m trying to figure out how to make separate blog pages on the same site with separate posts pertaining to the exact category.

    so to explain a little better, I intend on using the blogs for podcast show notes, for now, possibly more blog stuff in the future. I currently have two podcasts and I want to put the show notes up for both as blog posts, but I want to have each page have only their own category of post. So for Show A, I want only the Show A posts to show up, and Show B, only those posts to show up.

    I’m thinking eventually there will be more blog content, but I haven’t fully planned anything out yet, and I’m having a hell of a time figuring this out before I’m comfortable planning anything else out.

    Hi there,

    First, assign categories to your posts.

    Then add those categories directly to your site menu:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

    You cannot set a category page as the site’s front page – the front page can only be the main posts page containing all posts, or a static page.

    Is there a way to have the menu link itself link to the page with the category? It seems as though the blog feeds themselves will still be everything on either page unless you actually click on the category connected to the page that way.

    The front page will of course be an overview of everything that I have on the site with a little blurb about each podcast with a link to the page, as well as another blurb about another project I have going with links to that.

    I’ve just tried the linking categories as well, and it’s losing the art that I have up on the page when I sort the categories out and I don’t seem to be able to fix that at all.

    Yes, you will want to remove the Pages from the menu, and leave only the Categories, have a look here: https://cld.wthms.co/h14Lh9 You only need the items I marked red.

    A category page is created automatically so you won’t be able to customize it like you would a normal page. You can, however, add featured images to your posts that will be displayed there.
