Separate blog from main account
-
I have created a new blog but when I post to it the name given is from my primary blog. I need the posts to say “Posted by Surface Design Ealing”. Also I want this new blog to have a different password to my main account. I have tried “transfer blog” but WordPress won’t allow this.
If I delete the blog and start again as a complete newcomer then I will lose the name.
Help please. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If the process here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account does not work for you then you will have to contact Staff on Monday and ask for their assistance. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

You can also make a new account / user (need new email) and add the new user to the blog – then log in as the second / new account – or as @TT indicated above you can transfer the account to the new user – I am editor on some friends blogs and they just added me to their blog – when I go there it is with my original name but they post under their new name.

Hurrah! Separated the new blog, which now has no link to my personal blog. I have learnt that when creating a new blog one should be signed out of WordPress before starting otherwise the new one is automatically linked to the existing user name etc.

You are correct. One must log-out of the first username account in order to create a second new username account using a different email address. Best wishes with your new blog. :)
