Separating 2 WordPress accounts

  I have two WordPress accounts (sinr svd and the spirits pen). They are attached and when I post or comment in “the Spirits Pen” account, it shows “sinr svd” as the admin, not “the spirits pen.” I would like to have these two accounts completely separate. I have tried the adding a user as admin but its not working I think because the 2 accounts are attached.

  Hi Sam,

  It looks like you have one user account (sinrsvd), but two sites (sinrsvd.wordpress.com and thespiritspen.wordpress.com). This is very normal; most users manage more than one site using the same account. It’s easier that way so you don’t have to logout/login everytime you want to manage different sites. We actually designed the new My Sites with that in mind.

  You can change how the author “sinrsvd” appears on your site instead here, if that’s an easier solution:

  However, if you want two completely separate users for each site, that’s definitely possible. Here’s what you’ll want to do:

  1. Create a new User without creating a new site (Do that here)
  2. Login as sinrsvd and Transfer the blog thespiritspen to the new user. (How-to)
  3. Check the email associated with sinrsvd and click the verification for that blog transfer
