Separating a new blog from all the rest

  I have started a new blog form my long-standing site. I wish to keep this new blog ENTIRELY separate from my other blogs but it is calling for information from those when I try to add such items as ‘Authors’. How can I keep this site entirely separate so that other users are neither distracted by the long existing sites. The Authors for this new blog will need to be very different from any authors at the other sites with no link-through or association with them. Thank you.
